Protect Our Rivers: Tennessee Riverkeeper's 10th Anniversary

Protect Our Rivers with Tennessee Riverkeeper, featuring a speech by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., musical performances, and a silent auction.

Hello friends,

I’d like to invite you to join me on January 14th at Warner Music Nashville for an unprecedented evening to celebrate Tennessee Riverkeeper’s 10th Anniversary. The Tennessee Riverkeeper and the Waterkeeper organizations defend the fundamental human right to drinkable, fishable and swimmable waters, and they combine firsthand knowledge of local waterways with an unwavering commitment to the rights of our communities.

People everywhere are suffering the consequences of polluters poisoning our waterways. When a coal company discharges millions of gallons of toxic coal ash into a river, families who depend on that waterway as a drinking-water source are the innocent victims. When chemical companies dump carcinogens into our river, people and marine life get sick. These are just a few examples of the battles that Waterkeeper Alliance fights every day on behalf of the common good and to protect everyone’s right to clean water.

The Tennessee Riverkeeper’s 10th Anniversary event will feature a keynote speech by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an activist, environmental attorney and bestselling author. In addition to his wealth of knowledge on a vast array of subjects, including our waterways, Mr. Kennedy is one of the most compelling speakers I’ve encountered.

I don’t often reach out about events of this nature, but when it comes to protecting our environment, I cannot be silent. This will be an intimate, non-political event. Clean water is imperative to our survival. I hope you can join us and if not, I encourage you to donate. Your donations are imperative for the continued health of our water system and the Waterkeeper organization.
